We are hiring for a role reporting into the Vice President of Product Management for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (including the Cloud at Customer portfolio). Candidates for this role should have the following attributes:
* At least 5 years of Experience with product management and/or technical consulting with Public Cloud infrastructure services
* Experience and fluency in technical aspects of virtualization, container technologies, networking, storage and availability architectures
* Experience and fluency in commercial (pricing, consumption models) and operational (SLAs, patch cadence) aspects of cloud services.
* Excellent written and verbal communicator with experience working with senior audiences at customers, Sales teams, operational teams and engineering teams
* Ability to build and demonstrate cloud infrastructure services, communicate reference architectures, and troubleshoot basic issues. Hands-on experience with designing and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions to customers is highly desirable
* Experience writing functional specifications, design documents, user stories, and/or bug reports
* Experience participating in agile development sprints and planning meetings
* Ability to effectively communicate technical problems and solutions through writing and presentations

* Understand the market and customer opportunities and help design a roadmap for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
* Document user stories and acceptance criteria for new features and prioritize them with the development team. Key Deliverables: Well-defined User Stories, continuously prioritized backlog.
* Act as a technical project manager and drive new features through design, development, and deployment. Key Deliverables: Continuously updated project status dashboards.
* Communicate new features and updates to tertiary teams (support, documentation, etc.). Key Deliverables: Release notes.
* Monitor and incorporate qualitative and quantitative feedback about features into new releases of the product. Key Deliverables: Usage dashboards, customer interviews.
* Disseminate product best practices to internal and external stakeholders through the creation of key assets. Key Deliverables: Whitepapers, Tutorials, Reference Architectures
* Assist sales teams by appropriately advocating product during interactions with strategic accounts. Key Deliverables: Customer visit reports
* Create assets that highlight product functionality. Key Deliverables: Click-through Demos, Videos
* Represent the product at industry conferences, trade shows, user groups, etc. Travel required. Key Deliverables: Conference/event presentations, Trip reports.
* Support the sales team with non-standard product inquiries and proof-of-concept projects. Key Deliverables: Proof-of-concept documents and software artifacts
* Enable key accounts to be successful and convert them into reference customers. Key Deliverables: Reference customers.
**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
